cGUL Toolkit and more BehaviorShop


The day continues. Today I worked heavily on Behaviorshop, with more work. The most I got is that my work is never ultimately mine in these cases. It sucks, but that's what makes me a designer. I have to look on at someone completely change it, and say, yep, I did that, with no feeling.

Overall, not a bad day.

Fi3rst, BEHAVIORShop, BEHAVEngline


Today I worked on taping into a new round of logo design. FI3RST is the engine of which the project game runs on. It is based upon work with the Panda3D engine, but heavily modified for the new AI project.

BehaviorShop is the menus and AI system that the group hopes to implement. The goal is to make any user be able to customize and create a set of commands, and have the program simulate the input it is given.

BEHAVEngine is the utility that runs all the framework together. It is what brings all the components together.

SO far, these logos will go to represent and help image the technology that is behind it. A profession image, for a very hard worked and researched product. Way to go GIG Lab.

New Revision


Here I have some new variations on the logo design. Seems to be on to something. However, I'll play with some facing of the "I" in the main logotype, and chose both a bold and regular typeface for comparison.

Logo Comps


Here are a few comps for the logo. I like this one because the logo is clean, sleek, but yet bold and sharp. I played with circular spacing in order to spell out the letterforms, giving a very eye catching design.

New Work - Game Intelligence Group


So I have now picked up a new, contract position with the Games Intelligence Group at UNC Charlotte. As a contracted artist, I will be assisting the program in re-branding the logo, look of the website, and other material in art related to the game artificial intelligence research.

My first project is a logo redesign. Though I do not have a sequence of day to day, I will post a sample as I go along.

Also, maybe I can use this blog as as way to keep track of my progress. Hope this worked out.
